Brann and O'Hair Family Records
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of materials accumulated by Virginia Dean Brann and donated to the Putnam County Public Library following her death in 1985. The materials date from 1848 to 1974 and primarily relate to families associated with Putnam County, Indiana. The collection includes personal correspondence, genealogical research, and commemorative materials. Correspondents include members of the Allen and O’Hair families, as well as James Swango and William Way. Genealogical records document the Allen, Bailey, Barker, Dean, Fulton, and Henry families. Also included are materials related to the Elizabeth Tribbett O’Hair Memorial, including a commemorative pamphlet, and original illustrations by Henry O’Hair.
