This collection documents the activities of the Better Home Extension Club of Putnam County, Indiana from 1962 to 2015. The club focused on the improvement of home life as well as that of the community as a whole, and was also involved with local 4-H Club activities in Putnam County. This collection includes treasurer records from 1962-2000 as well as Secretary Record Books from 2000-20001, 2008, 2012-2014. Finally, programs, another representation of their activities are included from 1978 to 2015 with missing programs generally from the early 1980’s. The BHEC also create scrapbooks highlighting activities and progress of the organization as well as creating a pictorial representation of those activities and their members.
