Content Description
Club 16 Home Extension Records document the activities of Club 16, a Putnam County homemakers club organized in 1956 under the direction of the Putnam County Extension Homemakers Clubs, Inc., an affiliate of Purdue University. The club was active until 2026, bringing members together to build community spirit, support one another, and share practical knowledge of homemaking and family life, extending that knowledge to future generations in Putnam County, Indiana. Records include six scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings of club events and meetings, photographs of members, displays, and events, thank you cards, and awards, alongside secretary record books, standardized volumes issued by the Extension Homemakers Clubs of Indiana documenting annual officers, meeting minutes, and attendance, as well as brief club histories, the club's constitution, and a manuals issued by the Putnam County Extension Homemakers Clubs. Materials consist of photographic prints, paper documents, and pamphlet bound volumes dating from 1955 to 2026, and are arranged alphabetically, and chronologically within folders sharing the same title.
